More than just an event, Petaluma Night Out is a celebration of our community’s shared commitment to safety, connection, and well-being. This citywide tradition brings together residents, local organizations, and public agencies to strengthen relationships and showcase the many resources available to our community.

Our annual public safety festival features booths from public safety agencies, nonprofits, and community partners, including Petaluma Fire, the SAFE Team, City of Petaluma departments, the California Highway Patrol, the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office, the American Red Cross, COTS, and many more. Each booth offers safety activities, giveaways, educational resources, and opportunities to connect with local organizations. Guests can also explore emergency vehicles, watch live safety demonstrations, and enjoy free food, games, music, and prizes.

This year, we’re also hosting a community blood drive and a Back-to-School “Pack the Patrol Car” donation drive. Bring new school supplies—such as notebooks, markers, pencils, and other classroom essentials—to help support local students. Participants who donate blood or contribute school supplies will receive extra raffle tickets for a chance to win exciting prizes.

Petaluma Night Out is an opportunity to bring our community together, promote public safety, and highlight the services and support available to residents.
