Behavioral Health

Strategic Plan (4)

Individual Therapy

COTS clinicians provide one-on-one therapy to help clients address emotional and behavioral health challenges that may affect their well-being and housing stability. Working collaboratively with each client, clinicians create a supportive environment where clients can process their experiences, develop healthy coping strategies, and work toward their personal goals.

Individual therapy is available at the Mary Isaak Center and Kids First Family Shelter, as well as within COTS’ Housing programs.

Strategic Plan (3)

Group Therapy

Group therapy gives clients the opportunity to learn alongside others, build social-emotional skills, and explore personal challenges in a supportive setting. Groups are led or co-led by COTS clinicians and may focus on subjects such as healthy coping strategies, communication, emotional regulation, and relationship-building. Topics are often developed in response to clients’ needs and interests.

Group therapy is available to adults and children at COTS program sites.

Strategic Plan

Recovery Support

COTS provides and helps clients access a variety of recovery resources. These resources may include recovery groups, peer support programs, and other services tailored to each person’s needs and goals. Participants can connect with others, learn from shared experiences, strengthen recovery skills, and explore pathways toward continued support.

Strategic Plan (2)

Community Crisis Support

Through a partnership with Petaluma People Services Center, COTS clinicians provide behavioral health support to the SAFE Team, South Sonoma County’s mobile crisis response team. COTS clinicians offer real-time consultation, helping SAFE Team members navigate complex behavioral health crises in the community.

Through this partnership, COTS extends its behavioral health expertise beyond its housing programs and contributes to a safer, healthier community throughout South Sonoma County.
